My Favourite Place In Australia!!!
Posted on November 17th, 2008 at 7:42 pm by chickadee and

My favourite place in Australia is my house..

I know this isn’t the most exciting place in Australia, but i love my house because i can be my self and relax..

I live on a farm so it is very big and great to get away from annoying siblings and some times my angry parents . I love getting out on the motorbikes and helping my dad work on the farm.

In  my house there are 3 bed rooms a detached bungalow, one bathroom and many more rooms.

There are 5 people currently living in my house.

I have 11 pets 3 cats, 4 lambs, 3 calfs and i turkey.

living on a farm gives me the oppurtinity to have so many pets.

Where to travel in Australia.
Posted on November 17th, 2008 at 7:31 pm by chickadee and

Um let me see..

Australia is a beautiful place so many different and great places to travel and see.

if i could i would travel all around Australia. i would love for other people to have the oppurtunity to do it too.

The first place i would like to go would be the Great Barrier Reef because i like the water and the creatures that lurk in the water my mum has been to the Great Barrier Reef and said it was so beautiful and she loved it. i’ve only ever seen photos of it and one day i want to see it for real.

Another place i would love to see is Ayres rock which is in the northern territory and it also known as central Australia. i have always wanted to see this wonderful place because it has so much history behind it and i think there is more drama and history behind it then we all ready..

I love living in  Australia and cant wait to be able to travel it!!

Australia is a country to share and i love it    :)

What i like about my school!!
Posted on October 26th, 2008 at 7:36 pm by chickadee and

Well im a year nine student at Hawkesdale p-12 college.

At this school we have heaps of oppurtunities, as i have experienced my trip to China and there is also another group going to The Middle-East..

Because my school is a small country school we all mainly get along and we all are a friendly bunch of kids..

My favourite subjects are English, ict and sometimes sport.lol

My favourite thing about being at school is seeing friends and going on camps..

I love  getting out doors and having fun with my mates outdoors..

This year i have been to Tasmania as our year 9/10 camp an then China as a study camp..

Im back!!!
Posted on October 19th, 2008 at 7:51 pm by chickadee and

Hey everybody im back from China and loving it,

Omg it was so fun i enjoyed every minute of it..

While in China i had gained a lot of experiences and friends..

I learnt so much about different cultures and different people, i think i am a more understanding person and i am so glad i got the oppertunity..

i will have to put some photo’s up..

A couple of funny things that had hapened were a friend thinking that a door frame was a mirror and looking in it, also i ran into my room to find it changed and tripped over a table. it hurt but everybody laughted..

Also we went Ice-Skating as a night activitie and i had the biggest fall. my skate had got stuck in a track in the ice and i fell on the ground and bruised my hip, leg and my arm.

Our days were packed with fun, work and many more. We got up at 6:30am and had breakfast at 7:30am and then class from 8:15 am to 11:30am and after lunch we either had free time or touring. For night activities we mainly went shopping at night markets or stayed at home and had movie nights..

My favourite night market was Confusious Market we spent nearly every night here at was a fun atmosphere and we all felt really safe there. Here they had lots of clothes stores and traditional chinese places and also food courts.

I love my experience we had arrived in Shanghai and stayed there for one night and then traveled onto Nanjing here we stayed for 5 weeks at the Nanjing Number One middle school. here we all made lots of close friends and all shared fun times together. One weekend we went touring around Suzho, this place was lovely we traveled down famous cannels and had lots of fun.

For the last three nights we were in Beijing here we went to the great wall and i climbed it and was out of breath by time i got to the top. We also went to The forbiddon city and we visited the birds nest and the water cube.

This trip was amazing and i loved it nothing was what i had expected it to be..

I love The shopping and people in china and hope to go back when im older..

Overseas Study Program 2008
Posted on August 31st, 2008 at 8:38 pm by chickadee and

Omg i can’t wait Tuesday the 9th im heading of to CHINA for 6 weeks and it is going to be good.

I won this fully funded trip to china through the school and there are 5 other schools joining with us to go overseas the schools encluded are:

  • Hawkesdale
  • Ararat
  • Ballarat
  • Mount Clear
  • and stawell

There are four children going from each school.

In order to get accepted we had to present a project to do over there and mine is about Natural Disasters but i am mainly focussing on the ongoing drought, i choose this subject because it was a problem that is effecting many people and it would be easy to find out differences between here and China. i will mainly look at what China do to prevent and what aid they give out to struggling families and business’.

i am so happy i can’t wait to go i am going to geelong on Monday to stay at my aunties house because we ahve to be in Melbourne at 6:30 am to get on the plane.

In the six weeks that we are there we are going to Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou and Beijing. Most of our time will be spent in  Nanjing.

I am a little unsure on been away from my parents for so long i love my mum and dad i rely on them so much and when im sad i always go to mum or nan they are like my older sisters.

I am so happy and i can’t wait ill keep you undated while im over there WISH ME WELL.

The Olympics
Posted on August 24th, 2008 at 8:49 pm by chickadee and

My favourite sport in the olympics would be either the gymnastics and the diving i find the gymnastics good because i used to do it and it is very hard and some of them make it look so easy. i also like the diving because i find it interesting it is so cool i ould love to be able to dive and all that like all the divers do. You can see that the divers put a lot of hard work and time into it, they also have good bodies!!!

Is there a difference between school at Hawkesdale and Umnul Quro
Posted on August 18th, 2008 at 8:59 pm by chickadee and

  • Umnul Quro eat rice for breakfast, lunch and tea. however they do not sell rice at their school canteen.
  • Umnul Quro have NO weekends they only day they have off is friday due to pray day.

HAWKESDALE

  • Hawkesdale have unisex classes
  • Hawkesdale is NOT a boarding school
  • Hawkesdale have weekends on Saturday and Sunday
  • Hawkesdale is not a religious school
  • Hawkesdale has rice at our canteen

how i learn best!!!!
Posted on July 27th, 2008 at 8:41 pm by chickadee and

I think i learn best when working in a group and listening to music. I like working hands on i  believe it is an easier way to concentrate i find it really hard to concentrate when the teachers are just standing there and talking about something it is really hard to concentrate i usually blank out and then stuggle when they tell us to get to work.
